Maranatha: Riversiders for LGBT Concerns
Freedom to Marry Forum
The 10th Annual "Freedom to Marry" week begins on
Sunday, February 11th. To kick off the week, Maranatha: Riversiders
for LGBT Concerns is sponsoring a forum to again discuss why
marriage equality is so important to our community. It's beyond
rights; it's about our freedom!
In November 2006, The United States' congress and state
governments saw a change in leadership. This change has opened an
opportunity for the love and commitment of LGBT people to be
legally recognized. Here in New York state, bills are in
preparation to support same-sex marriage.
Whether you believe in same-sex marriage or not, you owe
it to yourself, your partner and loved ones to be informed of the
issues, questions and considerations. Come to this educational
forum where you will learn about the legal issues, hear personal
stories, and discover how you can act to protect yourself and your
partner. Special guest panelists will speak and answer your
questions.
You will not want to miss this informative and important
forum! Join us!
